ICICLES a poem by Patricia Crandall

                                                         ICICLES

                                                in amber coach light
                                                glistening snow drifts

                                                breaking
                                                footprints lead to mailbox
                                                and back

                                                burning cold
                                                to touch

                                                melting
                                                pock marks in snow

                                                wind
                                                blows through icicles
                                                humming

                                                shine
                                                in pale full moon
